Our Founder, Steve Doyle, spent decades working across executive search and technical recruitment and identified a gap that sat uncomfortably between the two.

On one side were high-end, City-based search firms, excellent but expensive. At the other were high-street recruiters who could move fast but frequently lacked the technical depth or networks.

From around 2020 onwards a further problem was becoming clear. The well known Job Boards have effectively placed online barriers between people and opportunities, creating frustration on both sides of the hiring process.

In parallel, organisations need more flexibility. When you’re scaling, innovating, or operating in uncertainty, permanent hires aren’t always the right solution. Businesses increasingly need to add skills when demand peaks and remove them when it falls, often building the plane while flying it.

Steve is a practical problem-solver with a track record of challenging established models. The final insight came from the gym: memberships aren’t restrictive, they’re liberating.
